I can hardly believe it's taken so long for us to get round to it. Went to a country house hotel, fantastic food and wine and company. Marvel-bloody-lous! Got most of the xmas shopping done and had a laugh. Back tonormality again and school uniforms to wash. Ho hum

Well, my rented hill. That's annoying me at the mo. I think I want to own a house, not really sure. Watching property programmes not a good plan. Am off to check the property papers!
Actually, I am going to find my way round this blogging thingy.
Actually, am off to grab J and T from nursery - J is mine and T is her friend, I am looking after her. J is 3, there's also B 8 and Z 16. Spread them out over my teens, twenties and now thirties! Keeps life interesting, I guess. Not sure I want to use their names - is that OK with bloggers? I must read other peoples and see what they do - only one I have read before is the one B's headmaster keeps for parents to see what he's been doing all week. Great idea, I thought I want one too!
Must go, will no doubt be back soon.

So this is the first posting of what may become a complete compulsion. I have a tendency to get obsessed with things! Where am I? on top of a hill in blustery East of Scotland. 1 husband, 3kids, 3 cats, 2 dogs and lessening sanity. Married to the best mate I've ever had (or ever will!) and not always satisfied with my lot!

Today's musing topic - books. I read, read, read. In fact, my ideal job would be a proof reader. I read anything and everything. I don't always enjoy what I read but I always finish. The family knows when I have a good book - they starve and don't have any clean clothes, the little one is covered in chocolate and there are empty coffee mugs everywhere. My main musing is on characterisation. Why do some characters just stick in your head and you spend the day wondering what they're up to? I know the author means for this to happen but how do they do it? Hmmmm.
